Best suggestion for Samba server

Hello again boys and girls!

I will start a threat that it may have been answered before. I am about to build a computer from the scratch so I will use it as a Samba PDC (v2.2.8a). I am trying to figure out what components to use. What M/B, what disk array etc. I need a system that will NOT failure for any reason. That means I want disk powerful disk drives, pro motherboard etc. The space I need doesn’t exceed the 500Gb for now but it may reach at maximum 3Tb. Of course the system must be Linux compatible... ;-)

I am able to spend about $6.000 for the whole system.

So, I am waiting for suggestion. To help you, here is what I had in mind:

Case: Antec 2U26ATX300XPR
M/B: Asus NRL-LS/533
Processor: Pentium 4 2.4GHz 533FSB
Memory: Kingston KVR266X72RC25/512 x2
NIC: 3COM 3C2000-T
HDD: Hitachi IC35L060AVVA07 x2 (1 as the system disk and 1 as swap)
Storage: IBM Netfinity EXP300 (does anyone knows the physical connection of the EXP300 with the PC?)

What do you think?
