Out of all the laptop manufacturers, which is(are) the most "compatible" with Linux? I know for example RedHat 8 & 9 are fairly compatible with most laptops, but I was even thinking in terms of RedHat Advanced Server 2.1. I wanted to install this on a laptop for demo/testing purposes.
Lindows.com has a really nice Laptop. Its really small, has decent features, and a great price.
If your doing desktop work, id recommend that, as Lindows uses the regular Kernel drivers, so ANY distro should work great w/ that laptop (im not a fan of LindowsOS though).
If your doing video editing, and other stuff, this wont help.
