Best Graphics Card for a Powerspec B743 desktop
I have a Powerspec B743 desktop computer with a UHD 630 integrated video card. I want to get an add-on graphics card for VR and such. I'll be running Ubuntu on the machine, dual boot with Win10.
The CPU is an i7-9700k.
Who else has a Powerspec B743 or similar? Any recommendations?
Thanks,
Moxieman

What's your budget? These fancy cards can get savagely expensive?
Have you checked tests on phoronix.com

I have not checked out phoronix.com but will do so. I might also just go to the store I bought the computer from and have them select one for me. That way they cannot complain if I bring it back for not fitting.
Thanks for the recommendation. I had never heard of phoronix.

Your pc store will sell you what they can make a ‰ on.
If you're into VR, I presume you have deep pockets! It hurts at that stage to give anyone a ‰.
I really don't know who's in front in Graphics. AMD was behind Intel & Nvidia. They've passed out Intel, and are gaining on Nvidia, but I don't know if they've passed them yet. Phoronix has a testsuite, which they run on all new cards. I've been at the other end of the market.
EDIT: I gather you've bought the pc. If you haven't (Just chosen it) You might find an AMD having their graphics cores in the APU gives them an edge. It's certainly a speed advantage over any speed of pcie bus

Yes, I bought the computer already. I'll check out GPUs at the store.
Thanks.
