Best CPU

Hello all,

I am looking for buying a new desktop pc and I want to know what are the best processors especially for multitasking and multi-threading.

Thank you.

Intel seem to be leading the field at the moment -- so the fastest Intel chip you can afford.

There is no such thing as a best CPU in general, there is always only a best CPU for a specific workload and price range. Also keep in mind that the CPU is not the only factor when it comes to performance. A high powered CPU with 12 logical cores is of no use if your workload doesn't fit into the RAM or the disk subsystem can't deliver the data in an appropriate time.
Without knowing your budget and your workload it is not possible to recommend a particular CPU.

It depends on how much money you want to spend. I would personally get an upper level i5 or an i7.
