Hi everyone. I am brand new to linux, as in never used it before. On a whim i decided to install it after windows crashed for the 500th time.

anyway, everything is going fine except i cant install my belkin f5d6050 wireless usb adapter. I've tried to follow the readmes and howtos in the drivers i downloaded, but no luck.

Anyone care to hold my hand in this? I've downloaded the atmelwlandriver from atmelwlandriver.sourceforge.net but i get lost after i run the command "make config" and all sorts of errors occur.

Please dont make me go back to windows

i'm having errors too but with my linksys router. I used the same driver and was having errors using the 'make'.

any help would be greatly appreciated...

2 things you should try. First of all, make sure you follow directions with that specific atmel driver. Also, make sure that you have the linux kernel source downloaded. If you don't have the source, it will cause errors...

If that still doesn't work, try a different version...
