bcm5754/tg3 fails to wake-on-lan from hibernate


I have a Dell Precision 390, with an onboard Broadcom NetXtreme 5754 NIC. It works fine as a network card, however, I cannot get the thing to wake-on-lan in response to a magic packet. If I hibernate (ultimately using s2disk) or power down the machine, the NIC link drops.

I have:

* Enabled WOL in the BIOS;
* Disabled "Low Power Mode" in the BIOS;
* Run "ethtool -s eth0 wol g".

Perhaps importantly, the NIC does not have an entry in /proc/acpi/wakeup.

Any help appreciated.
