Battery Meter
Hi, i have install Mandrake 9.0 on my new Toshiba Satellite 1905-S301. Everything works ok, except for my modem (i accept that Lucent Software Modems will not work on Linux and i will get a pc card one) and the battery meter. The kde applet is always in ac mode, even when no ac power is available. I try to install some applets for laptops, but all says the same "not battery installed". I try everything my short linux knowledge allow me to do, but my battery meter is still not working. Please help me!!!!!.

Do you have apmd running? Start it as root with:
/etc/init.d/apmd start It is like this on my RedHat, and maybe it is the same on Mandrake. If it works make it start each time you boot your computer (on Redhat use the setup application /usr/sbin/setup). |
Still not working
I did that, but my battery meter is still not working.
