battery managment on laptop

Hello,

I am running RedHat 8 on my Toshiba Satelite laptop and was noticing that the battery drains very fast. Is there a program that runs utilities that will manage the power so that it doesn't drain as fast?

thanks,

i tried installing this but i get errors that i can't figure out.

these are the last few lines of the instilation.

dispswitch.c:409: parse error before numeric constant
dispswitch.c:413: warning: implicit declaration of function `gtk_main'
/usr/include/bits/sigset.h: At top level:
../pixmaps/displayswitch.xpm:2: warning: `displayswitch_xpm' defined but not used
make[1]: *** [dispswitch.o] Error 1
make[1]: Leaving directory `/home/evan/sources/toshibaUtils/toshutils-2.0.1/src'make: *** [all] Error 2

does this mean anything?

thanks

Try adding /share before /man in the Makefile in the doc directory. I think its just a different location for man files between RedHat 7 and 8
