I am currently using Openbox with Pypanel, which is good.
Now, since I recently got a new laptop, this one can actually work without being constantly plugged in. With my old one, it didn't really do much good, since the battery was so shot that with a battery indicator,I could literally see the countdown - if the polling was frequent enough. Otherwise, it would just report 20% and suddenly blink out.
So now, I need a battery indicator for my machine. There are some things I need:
- It should be in the tray, so I can see it even if I am running maximized programs. This rules out Conky.
- It should not have Gnome dependencies. Using Slackware, Gnome is a problem, but I have KDE libs in order to use Koffice - so KDE deps are not a problem.
- Preferably, but not a show stopper: It should go well with my colors.
Any pointers?
