Bad UT2004 Performance with ATI

I recently put FC3 on my laptop, FC3 picked up my ATI 9000 mobile and installed the M9 driver. When I run glxgears, it's gives about 1500 FPS for the default size. Is this the right performance for this card?

I used to be able to play UT2004 no problem, but now When I run UT2004, the graphics can't keep up with the game. Any suggestions on fixing this issue? Has anyone install the driver for desktop version of 9000 on a mobile card? Thanks!

BTW FC3 uses xorg.

You should be able to just install the driver on After that change the xorg.conf file to the correct module, Im not sure what that is for ati cards though.
