Bad key or directory name (gnome volume control)

hello, i have a problem with my soundcard configuration:
i am using a red hat 8.0 , my soundcard is a opl3 yamaha (sound vision), i had no luck with auto configurations, so to load the module i use this line:

modprobe opl3sa2 snd_port 0x370 snd_sb_port 0x220 snd_wss_port 0x530 snd_midi_port 0x330 snd_fm_port 0x388 snd_irq 7 snd_dma1 1 snd_isapn

the sound works fine, it loads YAMAHA-OPL3-SA3 and MS_Sound_system_(CS4231)

but the problem is : when i load gnome, the mixer gives an error:

Bad key or directory name:
"/apps/gnome-volume-control/OSS-MS_Sound_System_(CS4231)-1/synth": `(' is an invalid character in key/directory names
Bad key or directory name:
"/apps/gnome-volume-control/OSS-MS_Sound_System_(CS4231)-1/pcm": `(' is an invalid character in key/directory names

Bad key or directory name:

Bad key or directory name:
"/apps/gnome-volume-control/OSS-MS_Sound_System_(CS4231)-1/igain": `(' is an invalid character in key/directory names

now, what can i do whit this name problem? is there a way to save the mixer configuration whit another name?

thanks
