hi folks,
u helped me on setting up my ADSL modem,
it was a success.But now i cant configure my audio driver
Details as follows:
When i give sound card detection it says:


The following audio device was detected:
Vendor: Intel corp.
Model:82801EB AC'97 Audio controller
module:i810_audio

when i say play test sound it says:
The i810_audio driver could not be laoded.This soundcard maynot be compatible with Red Hat linux.
Now what does that mean i cant have sound?
please help and guide as im a complete newbie to linux

I have that sound card. I find that the best thing to do is:
go to www.alsa-project.org
download the files and install them as per the documentation
run alsaconf to find the card
run alsamixer to unmute the speakers
run alsactl store to save the settings
