Question B43 Hardware driver isn't downloading automatically

I read the how to post thing but none of it made sense so I'm just gonna write as much as I can. I'm using Ubuntu and I need a b43 wireless driver. I've connected my laptop to my livebox with an ethernet cable and I've been on the software centre and looked for both b43 and broadcom but nothing is coming up :s so I did some searching around and I've tried doing: system > admin > hardware drivers
and a box is coming up saying : No proprietary drivers are in use on this system.
I've googled b43 and I have been looking for ages for a site I can download if from but I can't find it anywhere. Where am I going wrong?

You were getting plenty of help in your other thread, where both I and pixellany posted links telling you the package you need is called bcmwl-kernel-source

http://www.linuxquestions.org/questi...7/#post3952126

There was no need to start a new thread.

But as long as you have a temporary wired internet connection, the ordinary methods for installing bcmwl-kernel-source should be better than the no internet method I quoted in your other thread.

We'll try to get this merged with your other thread. Meanwhile, the link I found (in the Ubuntu wiki) seems like the one to be using.

If you are getting confused, then take some time to read several different sites/instructions. This might help you see the big picture
