Aztech usb modem not detect in Linux


i have a 56k usb aztech modem...the problem is, it not function in linux...i use redhat 7.3..what should i do?i'm new in Linux ..so can u tech me step by step....

Not all usb modems work in linux. It has to be a controler type
modem. i'm using an actiontec and it works fine. The call waiting feature works too. You should go to linmodems.org. there is a link to a list of usb modems that will and won't work.
