Thumbs up AWESOME NEWS! PATA support on Promise PDC20375 - TX2Plus

Hi everybody,

I just had to share the fantastic news with everyone interested:

I finally got my Parallel drives recognized by the kernel on this Promise Sata TX2 Plus card (PDC20375). I've been waiting almost a year for this to happen.

There is a patch for kernel 2.6.13 that I applied (successfully I might add) to my 2.6.13.2, written by Jeff Garzik, kernel Developer.
Now let's see if I can use Captive to write to these drrives.

Woo -hoo!

Hi,

does this mean that this kernel also recognizes the raid ?
So it would be possible to have both xp and linux installed on a raid ?
