Having trouble installing a piece of hardware? Want to know if that peripheral is compatible with Linux?

Avocent KVM Switch & SUSE 9

I have a DSR2035 Switch installed and all is working except for one issue. I have an HP DL360 G4 server with Novell SUSE 9
installed on it. I have tried using both a USB converter & a PS2 converter to connect to the DSR switch, and cannot get a mouse.
Keyboard and Monitor work fine, but not the mouse. This is both at the site and working remotely with DSView.
Is there a patch available for SUSE, and what do I need to do to install it, if so?
