avermedia

First linux system i've gotten to work tonight with redhat 9.0 and got several things installed and internet works and all is looking good. I have an avermedia TV card (whatever the most basic one is) and am wondering if there are drivers or support anywhere that'd allow it to work under linux? Thank you in advance. :

In linux, device support depends on the chipset used rather than the company that sells the hardware, and the output of the command "lspci -vv" (as root) will soon tell you what chip is on this tv tuner. If your lucky it will be a bt8x8.
