I'm sure this question has been asked (and answered) a thousand times before, but my searches come up nil. I need my storage partition to be mounted at boot, with user read/write permissions. The storage partition is hda5.

fstab:

/dev/hdb /media/cdrom udf,iso9660 noauto,users,exec,ro 0 0

You need to remove the "noauto" tag from hda5 line.

The /mnt/hda5 directory also has to exist, it will not be created dynamically. And I normally have my line setup as such:
