automatic UPS self-test date

APC SUA1000I UPS with apcupsd runs automatic self-tests late on Friday afternoons which, come to think of it, is the worst time to learn that batteries need changing. Eventually I did replace the batteries - not on Friday, and ran a push-button manual self-test afterwards, and yet the blasted thing keeps running automatic self-tests as before on Fridays. How can I change that?

According to the APC documentation you can not set the time or day when the self test runs. The interval defaults to something like every 2 weeks from when it is powered on. You can try turning it off then on the day you want it to run but no guarantees...
