Audio stopped working

I have Fedora Core 2 and audio worked until i changed the screen resolution to 1024x768,
then it stopped working :S . It's not a hardware failure since audio works in Win2k.
What shall i do?

My hardware:
MSI KT6Delta (nForce 2) with built-in
C-Media 5.1 Audio (only have 2 speakers though)

Changing the screen resolution itself would not have any impact on your sound, so there must have been some other action that you performed. What steps did you take to change the resolution? Also, did you reboot? It so it's possible that you may need to simply rerun alsamixer again to unmute the volume settings. Finally, be sure to check the "Obvious Dept" - are the speakers plugged in, are they connected to the correct jack in the audio card, etc. Good luck with it -- J.W.
