Audio in on a Audigy Card

I currently have a Audigy sound card running on the latest redhat. I got a y-adapter to convert from two RCA plugs to one headphone jack so that I could use my computer speakers for my satellite. The problem is that I only get the right channel. Could it be a software thing or the crappy y-adapter I got from radio shack?

Probably software, there are user-side tools for cards that use the emu10k1 module, offhand I think they're called emutools, might want to poke around your system and if you can't find 'em, I know they're hosted off of sourceforge.net.

Cheers,
