Audio Frequency Control on Multichannel Soundcard.

I used Ubuntu Edgy for the past few days. I upgraded to Feisty this week. I also use M$ W*nd*ws XP. I own a soundblaster live soundcard. I n W*nd*ws I used the KX audio drivers from the KX Project to control the sound card. The feature which I most like about the kx drivers is the ability to be able to control the output frequency on each separate channel(like a sound crossover). I use my front channel as a low pass network (~80Khz cutoff) and my rear channel as a high pass filter(approximately >250Hz). in other word I use the front channel to drive my woofer and the rear channel to drive my tweeters. Is this kind of setup possible in Linux using a four channel soundcard? Can this be achieved by modifying the 'asoundrc' file.

Thanks in advance for the help.
