audio and USB conflict?

I recently installed Fedora Core 3 onto my Emachines m5312 laptop. Every time i try to boot up with a usb device plugged into my computer, boot hangs when detecting audio. If i unplug the device (a usb mouse and keyboard) when booting up and plug them back in when the machine boots into Gnome, my audio does not work. Is there some way i can check to make sure IRQs arent conflicting or something? Any tips would be great! Here is my system info:

Please do not post the same thread in more than one forum. Picking the most relevant forum and posting it once there makes it easier for other members to help you and keeps the discussion all in one place.

I will leave this thread open since it's more appropriate for the subject matter than the one in Networking, but still, please don't double post. Thanks -- J.W.
