Audigy Problems (And yes, I've read all the other threads)

Well, I'm having trouble un-muting my Audigy 2 Platinum Ex.

I know many people need to go into aumix and uncheck the mute button in order to get the sound to work. Well, I do this, and nothing happens. I save these settings, and nothing happens. When I unmute it, everything goes to 0. When I try to move them up, mute gets checked again!!! There's NOTHING I can do seemingly!

Anyone have any ideas?

Lightbulb Audigy 2 Platinum Ex

Sometimes it's the simple things we overlook that cause us the most grief.
I noticed that when I first installed MDK 9.1 it defaulted the sound driver to audigy() even though the correct driver for myself is emu10k1(). I don't have your sound card but I suppose it's possible HardDrake defaulted the incorrect driver in your case too.
Apologies in advance if you feel patronised by this answer.
