Audigy 2 zs plat. pro & Mandrake
 

I have recently aquired a nice new Audigy 2 ZS Platinum Pro, but this seems to cause Mandrake 9.2 a whole host of problems.

Firstly, when I tried to boot Linux after installing the card ok under Windows, it would not boot. The normal bootup output said things like "Kernel Panic"and "No-Inits found". Also when I attempt to reinstall Mandrake it will not load the second stage install, failing when attempting to uncompress a .bz2 file and use it as a ramdisk.

I am still a relative noob so if someone can tell me any log files that might be useful let me know and I will post.
