Attaching printer to SuSE 9.2 pro HELP

I am trying to setup my HP LaserJet 4 Plus to my SuSE 9.2 pro machine. The setup seemed to go smoothly it located the printer... I told it what type of printer it is, and when I got to the test it started firing up the printer and then the printer said PC LOAD A4 ??? :confused: :mad:

Whats wrong with that.
A4 is just the paper size,works fine for most.

Yes, but the printer lights labeled "Ready" and "On Line" go out, then the printer just sits there. It has paper in it and it prints fine when attached to a windows machine...

Are you using the ljet4 driver or the hpijs.

Is that related to the PPD files ? I have five options for the type of PPD file to use... it is currently set to use: HP LaserJet 4 Plus Foomatic/hpijs (recommended) (HP/LaserJet_4_Plus-hpijs.ppd.gz)
Should I be using a different one ?

If you have the ljet4 driver try that.It is designed for text files,If that is what you need.It is not good with graphics.
I'm just reading here;

Well I tried all five of the available PPD (driver) files... 4 gave me the same error as before and 1 gave me an invalid error screen (on the printer) I read through the linuxprinting.org page and all I got was opinions on which one had the best quality or speed... I just want mine to do something! I did notice that some of the PPD files (2 of them) took the printer longer to reject... but still... nothing.
