ATI TV Wonder VE

Ok, so this is driving me nuts, and I hate to make a new thread on this wonderful forum because the knowledge base is so crammed with solutions but I'm afraid I can't already find my question asked on this forum. I've googled all over, even the mythtv wiki author(s) claim that they can't get the TV Wonder VE card working on gentoo. I'm using Kororaa beta2's kernel, v4l is installed, I have permission for the device. I've manually modprobe'd and specified both the tuner and card type to death. Nothing I do seems to make this junk card work . Please help guys, I need to know that there is a value for the value edition card.

I get the green screen sometimes with nothing on it, but after manually configuring everything I just get a blue screen with static lines. An antenna is hooked up, I'm using NTSC broadcasts, no signals . I do know I can easily get the composite port to work, which is worthless because that just means I have to tune through an external tuner/device, deeming this card worthless. Please help.

I'm afraid I can't really help, but have you tried contacting ATI themselves? The ease or difficulty of getting any video card to function properly is largely a function of the state of the drivers that the manufacturer has released.

Good luck with it, I wish I could offer some actual assistance.

it's the tuner card that's the issue, video drivers are no problem on gentoo.
