ATI radeon IGP 340 3D

Hi, I'm a bit of a newbie so plz bare whit me on this.

I just got 3D working on my laptop whit the Xorg drivers, glxgears now output 3000 +\- FPS.
But know everything is choppy...
Example: divx, vob and any video file pauses for a nanosecond about every second, same thing happens in tuxracer.
I have also tried NeverWinterNigths, it has the same behaveior but whit much longer pauses, and the sound is messy in the pauses but nice otherwise.

I can't find any info anywere and xorg.org is down, so pls someone help me..

Have messed around whit xorg.conf alot so I don't think it's there unless there is some parameter I don't know about. Also tried disabling acpi cuz I read there was some problem whit acpi+alsa+2.6 kernel, but no luck...
