ATi Radeon 9000, slack 10.1 and 17"monitor


I have troble installing the ATi driver on my slack 10.1 - 2.4.29. After I configure the driver, reboot and type "startx" my 17" monitor remains black.

you confiured something wrong, run xorgconfig, and try a smaller resolution

i've tryed dosents of freq.!! But I want 1280x1024.
I've got I my monitors menu - "Display Freq" and in winsucks XP at 1280x1024 It showes me 64x60, I've tried that in slackware but...it doesent work
