ATI Radeon 9000 Pro
I have an ATI Radeon 9000 Pro AGP card, and I can't get it to work with 3d/accelerated support. I have search this site (as well as the net) for any help, but I can't seem to find even one document telling me how to get this to work. The drivers from ATI don't work, and their documentation is horible. Another thread mentioned that new versions of XFree86 include support, but they didn't change anything in their README.ati file. If nothing else, I will try a new version of X (eventually), but it would really be great if I could get this card to work the way it should. Of course I am using it currently...with VESA framebuffer...but we all know that the framebuffer support in Linux is way too minimal and if I'm not crashing it by switching consoles, I end up waiting half an hour for windows to be redrawn. If anybody has gotten this card to work at all (besides framebuffer), please let me know exactly what you did (e.g. drivers used, process, XF86Config file, etc).
Thanks,
verigoth
