Ok. W/ radeon you do not need any video drivers but vga. Turn the others off. You will want the viagart, and other motherboard chipset support built in to your kernel. And the basic agpgart one if it is an option, depends on your version. I have to go but I will be back later and I will set up a IM so we can communicate better.

I have a following problem: when i execute ./make.sh in lib/modules/fglrx/build_mod then when i execute the ./make_install.sh a following error appears:
Quote:
*** WARNING *** Tailored kernel module for fglrx not present in your system. You must go to /lib/modules/fglrx/build_mod subdir and execute './make.sh' to build a fully customed kernel module. Afterwards go to /lib/modules/fglrx and run './make_install.sh' in order to install the module into your kernel's module repository. (see readme.txt for more details.) As of now you can still run your XServer in 2D, but hardware acclerated OpenGL will not work and 2D graphics will lack performance. failed.
What should i do ?

Use:
su -l to root. (in a terminal)
cd /lib/modules/fglrx/fglrx_buildmod
sh make.sh
cd /lib/modules/fglrx
sh make_install.sh
If all is well the it will reply "trying to load module, Done"
you can check to see if fglrx is loaded with:
lsmod
if it loaded, run fglrxconfig.
Let me know how it goes.
Please list your disro, version of X, driver release, and all steps you used to get any errors.

The same error appears. I have Slackware 9.1, Xfree86 v4.3 (it comes with slackware), driver v4.3 for Radeon 9100 series. Kernel 2.6.5 with agpgart module and all stuff needed for the driver.

Turn off your sound daemon (arts, esd)
Use alsa and sdl.
(you may need to make sure SDL is using alsa.)
Also, what game?
BBL8tr Nascar race is on...

try
su -l
alsaconf
then
alsamixer (to set your sound levels)
then
alsactl store (to save them)
Alsa has a OSS out for such an occasion.
Look at
www.alsa-project.org/
for more!
