asus terminator + RH9.0

I have been trying to install RH9.0 onto my asus Terminator, but it hangs when installing the packages. Specifically, at installing hwdata-0.75-1.

Now, I'm no linux wizard, but I am guessing that this is possibly due to unsupported hardware? The only thing that is not 'stock' terminator is a Sony CDRW.

Knoppix would not boot.

SuSE 8.2 'tester' (or whatever its called) CD did boot and seemed to run fine.

Any pointers would be appreciated, otherwise I'll no doubt try the SuSE ftp install.
