ASUS P4C onboard LAN fail on SUSE 8.2 Pro
I just installed SUSE 8.2 Professional, had some video driver problems but fixed that in the other thread, I also asked this question in the other thread but no answers so I'm trying a new one with the proper subject line. I tired changing the subject line but no use, I didn't want to double post - sorry
Anyhow, I have Asus P4C board, during the installation, my Lan card has been detected and assigned as eth0. However I do not have any internet connection (I have a cable modem). During boot it says under network interfaces: lo done but eth0 fail. I tried to search through SuSe but no use, I was able to setup a seperate PCI nic but there is no point in having two of them.
What should I do? I'm not that new to linux but still don't know many things.
Also I have Audigy 2 Plantium, but have no sound, alsoconfig detect Audigy under the EMU10K1 driver, but its the Audigy 1 and it doesn't work. I looked on alsa-project.org for the driver but they do not have a different driver or any driver listed for Ausigy 2 Platnium. Opensource.creative.com/, says that EMU10K1 is designed to run Audigy 2, but when I try to download, the page is down. So I'm not sure what is going on.
