how did you install the Nvidia drivers? I was able to download and install with no problem I have the 'deluxe' which has the additional 3com. The Nvida makefile assumes that you have kernel source in the usual place. It applies a patch to the src code, compiles and installs a new nv.o and i810_sound.o

Hi there,
I just joint this 'club' and noticed your battle with the LAN card. I know it is an old posting, but it might still help some people out there.
The simplest solution I found with new 'windows' machines, Linux and LAN problems is to turn of the "Auto plug and play" and the "Auto virus protect" in the BIOS setup (press Del on start-up).

Worked fine for my last 2 new PC's - no more LAN problems in Linux
