Hi there,
I am new here and was wondering if someone could help me.
I have a system with an Asus A7N266-E motherboard. It uses the NVIDIA nForce 420-D chipset and it is a Socket A motherboard for the AMD Athlon CPU.
It uses an ACR (Advanced Communication Riser) called ACR-A6CH. This is taken from the Asus web site:
Dynamic Dolby Digital Audio
Thanks to the NVIDIA MCP-D southbridge and an ASUS ACR audio module, users can experience incredible Dolby 5.1 audio and S/PDIF-in/out connectivity to highest-quality speaker systems. The A7N266-E with Dolby audio support offers an onboard theatre-quality sound experience, with superior performance to most external sound cards.

Could someone please tell me if this ACR card works under Linux? I have Linux Mandrake 9.1 and didn't install it yet only because of that.
Please feel free to email me your answer at

All help is greatly appreciated.
Thank you.
