Ask for help: Problem printing using Ret Hat Linux 9
Hi,
I'm a new user in Linux. Recently I installed a Red Hat Linux 9. I attached my printer (Canon BJC-265SP) to my new installed Red Hat Linux.
When the fist time it booted, it could detect my printer hardware, so it automatically configured for my hardware. The printer icon also appear in the GNOME Print Manager. However, when I tested to print, the printer didn't do anything. It just stand still. I'm pretty sure that my printer is Ok. The light on my printer is on, and there's no error indication on the screen. The printing queue also didn't show any problem. It looked like as if the printing process was succesful, but actually not.
I also have tried with another printer (HP Laserjet 1000 series). But I got the same problem.
If anybody can help with my problem, I would really appreciate.
Thank you very much.
Note: I tried both of those printers in Windows OS, and they were working properly.
Best Regard,
Agung S
