Talking Are ATI drivers (and Xgl) available on FC6?

Hi all,

I just would like to have a feedback from someone who has already tried the new FC6 distro.

My question is: I read on the Fedora website that ATI drivers are currently "Still in testing phase"... does it mean that they are concerned anyway in the distro or not? And if they are... do they work properly?

I have an ATI X700 on my laptop, and have tried several times to make the 'fglrx-...' drivers I had downloaded from ATI work - but there has been no way! FC5 only workd with on the connected CRT.
So, I had to switch to SuSE 10.1, the only one supporting (but 2D-only).

(By the way, is also Xgl supported properly? I have tried it on the Mandriva distro, and it is nice...)

Try the "radeon" driver, It might work. I don't think that card is supported by the r128 driver but I may be wrong.
