Hi,

Every time I enable Processor APIC and IO APIC in the kernel, I get a lot of 'ERR' entries in /proc/interrupts, and it still reports using XT-PIC.

I also get a 'spurious interrupt 81something on IRQ 7' with it enabled.

I am running an AMD-K7 1.1Ghz Athlon on a capable motherboard (ECS), so would have thought it'd support APIC? It seems faster when I use APIC, but it seems to provide lots of erroneous interrupts.

Does anyone have any ideas as to why this would be? Just dodgy hardware? Is it better to enable or disable it, in this case?
