AOpen modem not recognized.

I'm very, very newbie. I recently installed SUSE 9.0 Pro. My modem was not recognized. My modem is as follows:

AOpen FM56-SV soft PCI Modem, Port= COM3. Hardware ID: PCI\VEN_14F1&DEV_2F01&SUBSYS_00C1AOAO&REV_01

That's the only information I have. What do I do to get this modem working? Or can I get it working at all. Is there a driver to help this problem?

I would greatly appreciate any advice. Thank you.

Your modem is based on a Conexant chip. The drivers are here:

Look on the left hand side of the page, and you'll see "HSF (softmodem) driver". Under that are all the links for the downloads and instructions you need. Your particular modem isn't listed as being supported on the page, but it is mentioned in the changelog, so I'm pretty sure you should be OK with these drivers.
