Aopen Geforce 6800LE problem
 

I'm researching an issue involving this video card not properly displaying the GUI. FC 4 refused to install at all and when other distros are installed, the only thing that displays is the cursor and the background color. I've googled this to death. Most of the search results are in German and the few I've found that are in English show the question but not the answer (including one here at LinuxQuestions.org:

Just to clarify, are the installer GUIs failing to render correctly? Or are the installers ok, but X isn't working?

Also, have you tried installing a distro in text mode, and then installing the Nvidia driver via a console?
