I am running an Intel PIII on an 815ep chipset. Would someone have a recommendation for a make and model of a wireless adapter for a desktop? I am looking for something that is both Linux and Windows compatible. I went to Fry's yesterday and they indicated that everything was Windows compatible only. According to Linksys, they indicated that not all models are both Linux and Windows compatible.

I am going to try installing SUSE Linux 10 tomorrow for the first time.
Will the suggestions mentioned on here earlier also work with my system?

I forgot to mention that I am a real newbie. I was wondering how fast I need to go with these things? Is 11Mbps adequate? Or would I want to go with 54Mbps or 108Mbps?

I am a real newbie

Getting started with wireless

After I find a wireless adapter, what type of modem and router should I hookup to it? I have a Qwest Action Tech GT701-wg, but comments in the forums seems to indicate that I can do better. Are their any wireless adapters that have a modem and router built in? I take it I need to buy a modem as well as a router
