Anyone installed a Brother p-Touch label printer?

I want to install a Brother p-Touch label printer, one of those that prints on a long strip of shiny paper with sticker back.

I have not found anything on LinuxPrinting.org or anywhere else, for that matter.
I guess there are two sides to the issue: the printing itself, and the composition software...
I'm using a Brother laser printer and it works just fine, I hoped that Brother would help with the label printers as well...

Thanks in advance for your responses...

Question I installed a PT-1230 using CUPS

I installed a P-touch PT-1230 using CUPS in Ubuntu 14.04. CUPS seems to work very well in 14.04. The label maker seems like it is installed properly. HOWEVER, I do not know how to format and print the label. STILL COULD USE SOME HELP.
