anyone get network scanning from xp to linux scanner to work?
 

canoscan lide 25 connected to slackware 11.0 using sane

followed instructions from http://www.linux.com/article.pl?sid=06/10/13/1751234

scanner works great using kooka or gimp as regular user

followed xsane-win32-0.991 instructions http://www.xsane.org/xsane-win32.html, keep getting "no devices available"

followed sanetwain instructions http://sanetwain.ozuzo.net/, keep getting "error establishing connection to host"

reread first link, in saned.conf i put ip address of pc the scanner is connected to, should have put subnet, scanning from xp works now
