Anyone ever gotten a "Diamond Monster Sound PCI (DMD-i0928-1)" to work with Linux?

I believe this is the original "Diamond Monster Sound" that they made. As in the very first model of the series (I thought I read somewhere that it can be considered an MX-100). I'm not completely 100% sure though. I do believe that the Diamond Monster Sound mx-80 was shortly released after this one. I wouldn't be surprised if this card in question ended up actually being an MX-80.

A little bit of background:
I recently installed Debian 3.1 (sarge) on an old system of mine. It's a PII 300Mhz containing; 128MB DRAM, Matrox Mystique (think it's the 220), some Syslink 10/100 NIC (have had zero problems with this particular card so I'm not sure of the exact model LOL), and this highly problematic Diamond Monster Sound 3D PCI card that I'm not 100% sure of the exact model of. I originally built this system ages ago (hardware wise) and I believe between my dad's system and mine we had 2 Diamond Monster Sound cards. I think one was this original model (MX-100?) and the other was an MX-80. I can't remember for sure which card we put into which system way back when (I believe the MX-100 is what I put in mind based upon what my foggy memory and what I could glean from all the reading I've done that has caused me a migraine lol). The only thing I do know for sure is what lspci prints out, and that is that it's using a DMD-I0928-1 chipset. This is backed up by what is printed on the chip itself when I pulled out the card to try to figure out what model I had (unfortunately, even doing that, didn't really help much. You would think Diamond could have put a better means of identifying their cards when actually go through the trouble of physically inspecting it).

Anyway, if anyone has any tips, info, suggestions, comments, or anything that they want to add, please feel free to do so. Any sort of info or discussion is very much welcomed and highly appreciated. Also, if anyone needs more info, I'd be more than happy to try to provide it. Just keep in mind that I'm really new to Linux itself so try to bear with me please.

Thank you in advance to anyone that may be able to provide some feedback.
