anyone can recomend a quad/dual port 10/100 ethernet card
I am looking for quad or dual port 10/100Mbps Ethernet PCI card. I am hoping some here can recomend a good and cheap card for my use.
I am writing a new IP routing software and need the hardware for testing and scalability. I am using Linux as the refrerence platfrom ( 2.4.19 kernels), so the card has to be Linux compatible.
I have seen some such card from Intel, costing more than $400, well thats way beyond my personal budget. With 5 quad port cards I get 20 physical interfaces.
Any recomendation or suggestion anyone ?
Thanks,
Manas

I've seen these before, the only one I played with was with a friend who got his for something on the order of $125 retail, and it was a shot in the dark as to the chipset (it was Tulip). They're on Ebay for rational prices, D-Link makes one, the DWL-580-TX+, retails for around $200. These cards are just not cheap, they're so niche that retailers can play a game of name their own price.
Luck,
Finegan
