Any way to reduce sensivity on a mouse other than the KDE panel?

It doesn't seem to drop the sensivity at all, and yet I an at 1.0x It is way too fast ever since I updated my ATI driver (reconfigured xorg.conf)

My mouse is this: Logitech® MediaPlay™ Cordless Mouse
And I use Suse 10.1

Any help would be much appreciated.

I run slack and I use gpm to cut and past on the command line
I know that suse start up and configuration files are not layed out the same
if you run gpm there is a setting for this in the configuration file for gpm
this is the lowest levle setting you could use there is also a setting in you X configuration file
