Any way to access data at USB pen drive?

Hi guys, I have to save data from the USB pen drive.
Dmesg reflects that the pen drive was attached, however fdisk -l doesn't list it.
Code:
[ 7521.823952] usb 3-2: new high-speed USB device number 3 using xhci_hcd
[ 7521.939738] usb 3-2: New USB device found, idVendor=13fe, idProduct=3100
[ 7521.939742] usb 3-2: New USB device strings: Mfr=1, Product=2, SerialNumber=0
[ 7521.939745] usb 3-2: Product: 2250 PRAM
[ 7521.939748] usb 3-2: Manufacturer:
[ 7521.940419] usb-storage 3-2:1.0: USB Mass Storage device detected
[ 7521.940484] scsi host7: usb-storage 3-2:1.0
[ 7522.940607] scsi 7:0:0:0: Direct-Access 2250 PRAM 1.00 PQ: 0 ANSI: 0 CCS
[ 7522.940755] sd 7:0:0:0: Attached scsi generic sg3 type 0
[ 7522.941314] sd 7:0:0:0: [sdd] Attached SCSI removable disk
When trying to mount it:
Code:
mount /dev/sdd1 /media/
mount: special device /dev/sdd1 does not exist
Tried it at both USB3 and USB2 ports with the same result.
Any way to access data?

either there is no parttion, or there is only a single partition in it, so try to mount /dev/sdd

I mentioned above that fdisk doesn't show pen drive at all.
When trying to mount drive like /dev/sdd (without partition) getting this message:
Code:
mount /dev/sdd /media/
mount: no medium found on /dev/sdd
Filesystem is FAT32, there are few MS Word documents (.doc).

use fdisk or gparted to check partitions

Neither gparted nor fdisk see pen drive.
Only kernel reacts when pen drive attached/detached.

Let's think this one out. Problems could be

1. Faulty usb port. You've eliminated that one.
2. Faulty device. Can you still access it on another computer? If not, that's the problem.
3. Faulty software/firmware. Can you access a different USB stick on that computer: if not, that's the problem.I don't know the solution to that one, though, other than a re-install.

This is the issue. "Attached scsi generic sg3 type 0" Seems that there are a number of posts about this exact issue.

Since the sd card goes through a gizmo and then hopefully a full sd card to act like an eide drive then I'd think that either the sd card or adapter isn't fully working with linux. Some adapters are known to have issues.

Try different way to attach such as ide to sd adapter that is sold as bootable.

Different usb to sd adapter that is sold as compatible with linux.

Some distro's may have to re-scan usb or rescan scsi or put in some udev rules. Forgot where I read that.

I would be tempted to run an older version of Knoppix to access the drive to see if an older kernel and usb settle time helps view this.
