Any linux on Abit NF7 mobo (Nforce2) - How?

Hey all.

I have been trying to get decent use of my Abit NF7 in linux, but i cant get the drivers for the Nforce2 chipset to work.

My question is therefore if any of you kind people can help get rid of this windows im caught in now :)

Has any of you got Nforce2 chipset to work under linux? - If so, how did you do it.

By chipset i ofcause also mean IDE-controllers, onboard sound, onboard NIC and so on.

Thanks in advance.

I have installed Mandrake 9.1 and 9.2, Gentoo 1.4, and Slackware 9 on my Abit NF7-S rev.2 and everything works. You need a patch to get the SiI3112 Raid working, and you need the nVidia source RPMs to get the NIC and a few others working on certain distro's (Gentoo has built-in support for the NIC). I think kernel 2.4.22 is probably the best overall kernel for the nForce2, but 2.6 will be even better once they get all the driver support isues ironed out.
