compatible IDE raid controllers? good enclosures?

I am looking to build a RAID-5 with four 250 GB IDE disks. System runs RH9.
Are there any tried & true hardware raid controllers out there that work well with linux?
Also, can anybody recommend a 4-disk enclosure?
Of course, price is important. Thanks!

Promise FastTrak TX2000 works fine. You'll need to add the following string at boot:

ide0=0x1f0,0x3f6,14 ide1=0x170,0x376,15 ide2=0 ide3=0 ide4=0

Thanks for the reply tcpip95. That looks like a good controller for an internal card.
Does anybody have any experience for external ATA raid?
