Any experience with SHINESTAR PCIe SATA Card 6 Port

This is a big of a longshot, but I wanted to see what I can find out.

I'm considering buying this card to increase the number of SATA connectors in one of my machines.

Does anyone have any experience with it under linux? The controller chip is supported, but there aren't a ton of reviews on Amazon about it, and none specifically mention Linux, so I thought I'd see if anyone has had good/bad/indifferent experiences with it?

The mfg's blurb says it is compatible with Linux.

Amazon has a generous return policy. Why not just give it a try?

Yup, that's pretty much what I did. If I remember, I'll post any experiences I have with it once I get it installed and running.
